FEATURE - the current going project is an Internet directory of human service providers. Essentially nothing is wrong with existing directories if a telephone number and address is enough information. No agency handles all the problems of man- or woman-kind. The plan is to create a database with additional information needed to match a client with the right agency. Consider a city with ten service providers; only one provider is able to address the needs of people who are not sober and cooperative. No one can tell this important distinction and from a list of telephone numbers. If someone is trying to find resources for a person who is not sober and corporative how many phone calls will it take to find the resources with a just a listing of phone numbers? A well-designed database will assist in locating the right service quickly and efficiently.
